About Frouke
A sailing monument ready for a new chapter.
Built in 1893 in Hoogezand, this vessel carries a rich history: from decades in cargo transport to its transition into the charter industry in the 1960s.
Following a thorough renovation starting in 2011 and a successful 'Heritage Tour' in 2024, the ship is now fully operational once again.

Registered Maritime Heritage
The Frouke is officially registered as sailing heritage with the FVEN (Federation of Historic Maritime Heritage Netherlands).

We have started working on the deckhouse
Hull & Structural Work
The entire bottom and the bilges were replaced in 2011. We also installed a steel hatch cover.
Due to the work, the entire interior has also been removed—a great opportunity for a new layout.
